“12 Angry Jurors”

“12 Angry Men” started as a television play in 1954, and since then, the behind-the-scenes look at a jury trying to decide the fate of an accused murderer has been re-made countless times on TV, on stage, and most famously, in the 1957 Oscar-nominated movie version starring Henry Fonda.

This weekend, the Cascades Theatrical Company in Bend is putting its own spin on the story, now called “12 Angry Jurors” to reflect the inclusion of both men and women in the play, but the director also made another casting choice that adds a whole other layer of diversity to the story.

The Source Weekly’s Jared Rasic reports.
