Dr. Nathan Boddie, Bend City Councilor, has announced he is running for the Oregon House seat being vacated by Knute Buehler in Buehler’s run for Governor. Dr. Boddie says he will run as a Democrat for the District 54 seat.

Dr. Boddie is a local primary care physician, who has served on the Bend City Council since 2014. He also sits on the boards of the Deschutes River Conservancy and Upper Deschutes Watershed Council. In the press release announcing his candidacy, Dr. Boddie says, “It is an honor and privilege to serve the people of Bend on City Council, and I’m eager to represent all our residents at the state level next year in Salem. Until then, I’ll be continuing my work at the clinic on behalf of my patients and on City Council, and I look forward to earning the votes of my fellow residents again.”
