Destination Oregon: Pendleton’s Rainbow Cafe

Pendleton, in the northeast corner of the state, is of course home to the internationally famous Pendleton Round-Up. It is also home to the almost equally famous Rainbow Cafe, where cowboys and cowgirls and city slickers as well chow down and drink up.

For this week’s Destination Oregon, Dave Jones takes us to the authentic western bar, the Rainbow Cafe.

Thanks to Jo at Rainbow Cafe for showing us around and a special thanks to our Destination Oregon sponsor, Robberson Ford, for giving us the time and resources to take you to some of our state’s most beautiful and interesting locations every Thursday night on Central Oregon Daily.

Destination Oregon: Faith, Hope and Charity Vineyards

The Faith, Hope and Charity Vineyards near Terrebonne is carving out a niche in local agritourism while winning some winemaking awards along the way.

In this week’s Destination Oregon Dave Jones takes us to the vineyard that bears the name of the local mountain peaks and is quickly becoming a popular Central Oregon attraction.

Thanks to the folks at Faith, Hope and Charity for showing us around and a special thanks to our Destination Oregon sponsor, Robberson Ford, for giving us the time and resources to take you to some of our state’s most beautiful and interesting locations every Thursday night on Central Oregon Daily.

Destination Oregon: Kokanee Cafe

There’s a restaurant that offers world cuisine from an international chef here in Central Oregon, but you’ve only got a few more weeks to try the menu. For this week’s Destination Oregon, Dave Jones takes us to Camp Sherman to meet the chef behind the Kokanee Cafe.

Thanks to everyone at the Kokanee Cafe and a special thanks to our Destination Oregon sponsor, Robberson Ford, for giving us the time and resources to take you to some of our state’s most beautiful and interesting locations every Thursday night on Central Oregon Daily.

Destination Oregon: Pendleton Round-Up Volunteers

The 107th Pendleton Round-Up starts next week. The best cowboys and cowgirls in the land will compete in the historic rodeo, which wouldn’t be able to take place if not for the hard work of more than 1,400 volunteers.

For this week’s Destination Oregon, sponsored by Robberson Ford, Dave Jones meets some of those volunteers and gets his own hands a little dirty too.

Destination Oregon: The Pendleton Round-Up

It’s a rodeo that’s almost as old as the city of Pendleton itself. The Round-Up started in 1909, and has become one of the longest-running and most recognizable rodeos in Oregon. For this week’s Destination Oregon, Dave Jones takes a look at the history of the Pendleton Round-Up.

Thanks to the folks at the Pendleton Round-Up for showing us around and a special thanks to our Destination Oregon sponsor Robberson Ford for giving us the time and resources to take you to some of our state’s most beautiful and interesting locations every Thursday night on Central Oregon Daily.

Destination Oregon: Camp Sherman Store and Fly Shop

In 1988, the state and federal governments designated the upper portion of the Metolius River a Wild and Scenic River, and anyone who goes to enjoy everything that area has to offer is bound to end up at the Camp Sherman Store and Fly Shop.

For this week’s Destination Oregon, sponsored by Robberson Ford, Dave Jones looks at the history and people behind the Camp Sherman Store.

Destination Oregon: Pioneer Saloon

Reminders of the Old West can be found all across our state, but in southeast Oregon there’s a physical piece of Old West history that is frequented every day by the locals. For this week’s Destination Oregon, Dave Jones takes us to the Pioneer Saloon in Paisley.

Thanks to John for showing us around the Pioneer Saloon and a special thanks to our Destination Oregon sponsor, Robberson Ford, for giving us the time and resources to take you to some of our state’s most beautiful and interesting locations every Thursday night on Central Oregon Daily.
