Maybe it’s the bright lights of the TV cameras. Whatever the motivation, Brian Warriner came up big when Bend needed him.
With the score tied at 41-41 in the fourth quarter, Warriner scored 10 consecutive points to lead the visiting Bend Senior High School Lava Bears to a critical 55-45 victory over Summit High School in an Intermountain Conference boys’ basketball clash Friday Night.
With the junior post leading all scorers with 16 points, Bend kept its hopes alive to win the IMC championship and earn a bye for the first round of playoffs. For his efforts, Warriner earned The Center Foundation Player of the Game honors for the third time this season.
