Churches Provide Shelter in Subzero Temperatures

Winter is in full swing, and with temperatures expected to drop below zero over the next few days, those with no place to go are the most susceptible to the harsh conditions. Along with some of the non-profit organizations in the region like Redmond Cold Weather Shelters and Shepherd’s House Ministries, churches across Central Oregon are giving the homeless a much needed roof over their heads.

Central Oregon Daily’s Anyssa Bohanan spoke with those in the faith community at the Redmond Christian Church and Westside Church – Sisters Campus who have made it their mission to keep as many people out of the elements as possible.
