When the Humane Society of Central Oregon first laid eyes on her, Florence had severely deformed legs, she was malnourished and destined to be killed and served as food.

The Humane Society International rescued Florence and hundreds of other dogs from a meat farm in South Korea early last year. When 28 of them came to Central Oregon, many of them were immediately adopted, but Florence needed a lot more time and care.

Central Oregon Daily’s Mackenzie Wilson has been following Florence’s transformation for the past year and now, just in time for Valentine’s Day, Florence found her forever home.
