High School Robotics Team Head to World Championships

It’s known in science circles as the FIRST Robotics Competition, a six-week program where high school students program 120 pound robots to complete specific tasks. Now, two teams from Bend-La Pine School District, Mountain View and Summit, are heading to the World Robotics Championships in Houston next week.

Central Oregon Daily’s Anyssa Bohanan got a sneak peek at Summit High School’s Summit High School Robotics team’s very own robot, “Spectre.”
