New Program Aims to Hire and Train Local Workers

Between the record-low unemployment and the high cost of living in Central Oregon, it’s getting harder for local employers to keep a healthy workforce pipeline flowing for their businesses. On Tuesday, the Bend Chamber is launching a series of E2E (Education to Employment) meetings for business owners and community members in hopes of addressing these growing concerns.

Mackenzie Wilson met with the local business owner of Robberson Ford who is using the apprenticeships as a way to hire and train talent from within Central Oregon instead of recruiting outside the region.
