Nurse Shortage Could Lead to Future Health Care Crisis


The U.S experienced a shortage of registered nurses for decades, and that shortage is only getting worse a more Baby Boomers retire and the need for caregivers grows. Add the problem of nursing schools not being able to expand their capacity, and you’ve got a recipe for a health care crisis by 2020

It’s a nationwide problem and, as Central Oregon Daily’s Eric Lindstrom found out, our region will also be impacted.
