Federal lawmakers are moving forward with a rare bipartisan agreement to tackle one of the biggest drug problems in the U.S. and here in Oregon.
The bill is called H.R. 4641. It establishes a federal task force to update national standards on pain management and the prescribing of pain medication.
The U.S. House passed the bill almost unanimously 412 to 4 on Thursday, including a “yes” vote from Central Oregon’s Representative Greg Walden.
