Oregon 97 Vote Majority “No” On Contentious Ballot Measure

Measure 97 turned into the costliest ballot measure in Oregon history. If passed it could have pumped $3 billion into schools and senior services by taxing corporations making more than $25 million a year in Oregon.

A total of 59% of Oregon voters said “No” to Measure 97. Central Oregon Daily’s Mackenzie Wilson spoke with a member of the Bend-La Pine Schools school board today to hear how they’ll be moving forward now that those extra funds will not be coming their way.
