We met up with ballet dancer Josh Deininger at Strictly Organic Coffee to talk about the upcoming Central Oregon School of Ballet production of Sleeping Beauty at Bend High July 22. Josh and his wife Elizabeth will be the lead dancers in the ballet and Josh shares the couple’s special love story with Donna. Performances are at 3pm and 7pm on July 22 and tickets are available at the door and at Central Oregon School of Ballet.

Karen Ruane, marbling artist and painter, was chosen by Deschutes Brewery to design their 2016 Jubelale label. She loves the ancient art of marbling and marbles anything and everything she can, including ceramic Christmas ornaments and wrapping paper! Sam Olson from Teenee Mi Design and Letterpress gave us a bit of a printmaking lesson while we got a glimpse of her vintage printing press. She also showed off some of her recent designs which included coasters for local breweries, wedding invitations and business cards.
