It’s a dinosaur that lived 150 million years ago and was about the size of raven. Now, the Archaeopteryx is being brought back to life in a new exhibit at The High Desert Museum that opens Saturday.

Among the cuts proposed in President Trump’s budget plan is the elimination of an agency called the Institute of Museum and Library Services or IMLS. It’s a federal funding source for more than 120,000 libraries and 35,000 museums across the United States.
