For this week’s Supper Club, Diane Dean sat down with Elise Jones of Astir Agency, and speakers for the event, Shannon Keith and Frank Patka, to find out what the TEDx experience is all about.
CJ Neary’s family and friends say he was born to play music. Although the 11-year-old can already play many different instruments, the violin is the one that has some people using the prodigy word when talking about his abilities. That is one of the reasons why CJ caught the eye of the organizers of TEDxBend where the young musician will be speaking this weekend.
Central Oregon Daily’s Anyssa Bohanan talked to CJ ahead of his big presentation.
Every year, TEDx hosts TEDxBend in Bend featuring speakers with interesting takes on technology, entertainment and design. Tickets go on sale Friday at www.tedxbend.com for this year’s event, and one of the speakers will be Central Oregon Daily’s Anyssa Bohanan, whose talk is about “Being Black In Bend.”
Our content manager, Curtis Vogel, sat down with Anyssa to talk about her experiences as an extreme minority here in Central Oregon.
TEDxBend is back for 2016.
More than a dozen speakers will be featured at this year’s event at Bend Senior High School.
The Daily Upload’s Diane Dean has a preview.
