Downtown Bend Business Opens Its Doors to the Homeless

When the temperature drops below freezing, the homeless in Central Oregon have a few options for shelters scattered across the region. Yet, one Bend woman felt it was not enough, and decided to do something about it. Central Oregon Daily’s Anyssa Bohanan reports on the downtown business that opened its doors to the homeless, just as the worst of winter got started.

Pfeifer & Associates opens its doors to those in need from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. on evenings when temperatures reach 30 degrees or below. If you would like to donate, you can visit the Sagewood Sanctuary GoFundMe or donate items such as extra bedding, foam mattresses, pillows, drinks, or snacks to Pfeifer and Associates at 23 Northeast Greenwood.
