Tips for Properly Storing Veggies

Jess Weiland of High Desert Food & Farm Alliance joined Central Oregon Daily at 3pm to talk about proper food storage. She explained how different vegetables need to be stored differently, for example potatoes need to be kept in a cool, dry place where temperatures don’t fluctuate and carrots need to be keep in a cool, high humidity environment, such as kept in a plastic bag (with air squeezed out) in fridge vegetable compartment.  Jess showed off crisp carrots and potatoes she’s been storing for months!
