Water Worries Rise as Wickiup Water Levels Falls

Water needs have exceeded the supply in Wickiup Reservoir and as water levels drop to less than 2 percent, a local fish are in danger. In April the reservoir sat at 100 percent, however, due to demand for irrigation water for Madras and Culver-area farmers and severe drought conditions the reservoir now sits at under 2 percent.
Central Oregon Daily’s Brian Jennings looks at how local conservationists are hoping to salvage the reservoir habitat.
