This summer, as many as 100,000 visitors are expected to descend on Central Oregon after NASA named Madras as the best place in the US to watch the total solar eclipse on August 21st.
Today, NASA scientists paid a visit to Madras to prepare for their role in the four-day Oregon Solarfest.
Central Oregon Daily’s Curtis Vogel caught up with the scientists to talk about the upcoming eclipse.
